D. Milton Stokes Bio

D. Milton Stokes, MPH, RD, CDN, is a Registered Dietitian / Nutritionist and owner of One Source Nutrition, LLC. He has over 16 years experience in the areas of food and nutrition as a nutrition counselor and former restaurateur.
Specializing in weight management and eating disorders, Milton helps individuals and groups overcome barriers to success by offering personalized nutrition assessment and planning. Clients set actionable, attainable goals, and they learn how to transcend the lure of fad dieting and unhealthy weight loss. He provides individual and group counseling in his office or in your Southern Connecticut home or business.
In addition, Milton is a National Media Spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association where he's been featured in Cooking Light, Fitness, Self, Men's Health, AOL, The Washington Post, Ladies Home Journal, and countless others. He's also written freelance articles for Environmental Nutrition, Today's Dietitian, Family Doctor, Men's Health, WeightWatchers.com, NY Daily News, and others.
Milton began his career in clinical nutrition with Sodexho and has worked at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY; Jamaica Hospital Medical Center & Trump Nursing Home in Jamaica, Queens; North General Hospital in New York, NY; and St. Barnabas Hospital & Nursing Home in the Bronx. Now he's with Unidine at Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, CT. He has served in staff and management positions along the way as well as precepted dietetic interns and students from several area colleges and programs. Milton's graduate degree is in Health Education from Hunter College and his clinical training was conducted at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
